Anchored by a resonant voice, exhibiting the best of a storyteller and expressing universal messages with each word, Melbourne’s Seb Szabo is a sonic poet, blending cinematic indie rock with an intimate, magnetic stage presence.
With an innate and authentic energy, Seb paints soaring, honest portraits of life and love through considered lyrics and a charisma conjured only by those who are working hard at their life-long desire. Taking inspiration from icons Bruce Springsteen and Coldplay, Seb is forging his music journey, sharing his experiences with songs built to lift the spirits and empty the lungs.
Highlights of the young performer include supporting seminal artist San Cisco in 2019, winning Queenscliff Music Festival's Foot-in-the-Door Competition, an appearance at Fed Live's Summer Series at Federation Square, and a sold-out single launch downstairs at The Gasometer Hotel in May 2021.
Seb also made an appearance on Channel 7's The Voice 2021, turning three chairs and choosing to work with Keith Urban. His performance of "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac has over 120K views on YouTube.
His debut EP, the cinematic voyage "Staring Out the Windows", was released in July 2021, with single "Postcard" premiering on Triple J's Roots & All.
The final single for the "Windows" era, the seminal ballad "Twice Over" featuring the vocals of ARIA-nominated artist Gretta Ray, was released in November 2021, with a single launch at The Night Cat in Melbourne on November 25th.
